Partying with The Hives at Cavestomp!
This weekend saw the gathering of thousands of record collectors and garage rock revivalists. Cavestomp was a great success, and amid the beehives and bouffants, the pompadours and familiar aging rock dudes were none other than The Hives. Pelle, Chris and Nicholaus flew in for one-night only to see legendary band The Sonics, whom they cite as possibly the biggest influence in their music. I had a proper good time with the boyishly charming Swedes at Warsaw in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.

Jeff Conolly of The Lyres had the crowd stompin'!

Larry Parypa and Gerry Roslie of The Sonics! Garage Rock Festacular indeed!

Rob Lind of The Sonics! still has the chops.
