pipettes.jpgBroadway may be dark tonight, but NYC still has plenty to entertain you with. Over on 23rd st, UK pop divas The Pipettes will take over Gramercy Theatre with their edgy doo-wop sound. The sassy trio follow a live performance from dramatic folk songwriter Nicole Atkins. Doors open at 7, and tickets are $20.

Downtown, indie troubador Cass McCombs will be bringing his uplifting, yet quirky songs to Bowery Ballroom. Ariel Pink opens. Show starts at 8, and tickets are $15.

Nearby, neo-folk rockers The New Surreal will be tearing up Fontanas with their infectiously catchy songs. I'll be at this one tonight. They go on at 8, and tickets are $7.
