Two years ago, I was walking along Houston, and saw a lonely CD sitting on the ground by Katz's Deli. As my hobo instincts took over, I snagged the album - - turned out to be the debut demo from Brooklyn based four piece The Epochs. Over the next few weeks, I couldn't stop listening. The band's sound, defined by their subtle blend of synthesizer and soft drums, was nothing short of smooth and relaxing. I became one of their few early fans, and proudly watched them grow as a band.
