How great is when a multi-talented composer/performer like Patrick Wolf decides to spiral into a pit of self-destruction and self-imposed darkness that he does it with style?  I mean, had Wolf confessed to Pitchfork that in the week leading up to a performance on Jimmy Kimmel he had been benumbed in some LA heroin pit or cracked out in an expensive brothel, your first reaction would be a resounding, “Eh.” Good thing for us dirty minded voyeurs that our favorite British pop freak does everything with a certain grandeur. Wolf’s version of the lost weekend apparently involved dabbling in some good old fashioned satanism. Talk about dernier cri.  Check out the whole interview which not only involves blood drinking and vague intimations of satanic worship but also a comparison of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Harrison Ford (Botox) and talk of collaborations with Alec Empire and Tilda Swinton. Gotta love that guy.
