This new video from The Walkmen appears to be filmed in stop-motion, but it’s actually comprised of a freaking gorgeous set of stills taken in the Himalayas by photographer Bruno Levy. We follow a girl in a tattered Nike on her quest o’er hill and dale, soundtracked by “Four Provinces,” a track from You & Me; the latest endeavor from The Walkmen. There’s something really organic and uplifting about this video in that it evokes qualities of a NOVA episode and doesn’t rely on anything too flashy, letting the landscapes speak for themselves. Not exactly what the Walkmen usually inspire in my mind’s eye, but their expansive, hollow sound, perfectly lends itself to this mini-film. Plus, I dare you not to smile when the kid finds what she’s looking for. You & Me is out now on Gigantic.
