Video: Total Eclipse of the Hipster

Have you experienced Scandalishious yet? Don’t ask me what it is; I have no effing clue. Supposedly, it’s the web portal of a self-identified hipster named Caroline who makes YouTube dance videos that somehow challenge the patriarchy. She also posts her “art” and has done a few “feminist movie reviews.”

I keep going back and forth on believing that this is real and being sure it’s fake. What gives me pause is that, unfortunately, I’ve known girls who actually remind me of Caroline. Okay, maybe they’re not this bad, but close. Anyway, Buzzfeed doesn’t seem to think there’s any mischief afoot. How about you? Is Caroline nothing but a deluded, narcissistic hipster, or is she a high-concept hipster joke about hipsters? It’s enough to make your head spin. 

But for now, just enjoy Caroline’s lip-synched rendition of “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” Uh, happy Halloween?
