A Place to Bury Strangers, and A Place to Eat Noodles...

Posted on December 27, 2007

Friday, December 21st, 2007, on the Bowery.

It's 2:08AM (saturday morning). If anyone knows anything about noodling, it's The Giraffes. I sat down with Aaron, Damien and Drew at Great N.Y. Noodletown after one helluva show at The Bowery Ballroom. I had just seen Blacklist, The Giraffes, The Cloud Room, and renowned art-noise-rockers A Place to Bury Strangers. Each band was spectacular in their own way, and it was an extraordinarily fun night. Let's start at the end and work our way backwards...

2:08AM, Aaron Giraffe gets a look from the po-po.

APTBS rock out in front of mind enhancing projections.

Obscure, provocative and psychedelic. APTBS projectionist Spencer keeps it on film.

The Giraffes played all of my favourite songs that night, including Haunted Heaven.

The Giraffes, kick ass.

When I walked into the Bowery Ballroom that night, Blacklist had the crowd in a dark wave trance.
