Ask any member of Rascal Flatts. Ask Josh Turner. Ask any of today’s biggest stars, and they will tell you that one of the most talented singers to ever walk into a recording studio in Nashville is Marty Raybon. At a special performance during the 2010 Country Radio Seminar, Rascal Flatts were surprised on-stage when Raybon joined them for a version of “The Church On Cumberland Road,” a song that Marty took to the top while a member of Shenandoah in 1989. “They used to open their show with that when they first started, so I went up there and surprised them. That was a lot of fun.” Just like true fans, Gary, Jay, and Joe Don couldn’t stop with just one song. “Then,” Marty says, “they wanted to hear “Ghost In This House,” so we turned around and did that.” Turner has been equally vocal about his love of Raybon’s music, as well. What does Marty have to say about that?  “They are very easily impressed,” he says with a smile, “and I like that about them. There’s something to be said about the character of a man who is so easily impressed.”
