Video: “I’m on a Boat” Metal Style
Last year the musical parody brilliance that is The Lonely Island hit what might have arguably been their pinnacle. They’d already infected the internet with every one of their SNL shorts, starting with “Lazy Sunday” until the release of their album Incredibad last February. That saw Andy Samberg, Jorma Taccone and Akiva Schaffer dropping their soon-to-be-ubiquitous single “I’m on a Boat.” don’t believe any English speaking person has not seen it at this point, but if not, here you go. If the musical parody game tends to be pretty lame, a musical parody of a musical parody is maybe a step through the looking glass. But now that Columbus, Ohio metal act Goatmill have taken a swing at their own version of “I’m on a Boat,” with a corpse-paint wearing kid replacing T-Pain, well…I couldn’t resist.

‘Parks And Recreation’ Almost Entered The 36 Chambers
Can it be that it could have all been so simple? I’m sure you’ve seen NBC’s hit comedy Parks And Recreation with its lovable comedic cast of misfits doing lovable comedic things. And even though the show has its share of characters that shine in their own way, none of them know vital skills like the mystery of chessboxing or own essential props like fang-shaped gold teeth. You wanna know why ? Because the dudes at NBC blew the chance to have The RZA on their hit show. Kinda.
In this hilarious short from FunnyOrDie.com, ?uestlove gets his Masterpiece Theater on and shows us what could have been if the casting directors of Parks And Recreation knew what was good for them. Displaying stellar acting skills, the RZA killed the audition but was beat out for the role at any rate. Take a look for yourself. How could they not have chosen him for the role of a white woman? He’s the splitting image! Oh well, check out what could have been.
